Overview:

This small article will surely boost all of your senses and give enormous energy to start learning AI in depth. In this article we will be discussing nothing scary, does not cover any Math and code. Simply this is going to be a kickstart to tell how interesting AI is.

AI — The BIG picture:

When computers are first made programmable, people ever started complaining about it. They even thought that they would some day become more intelligent than people itself. Today, artificial intelligence (AI) is a thriving field with many practical applications and active research topics. The computers are apparently very smart in accomplishing formal tasks, may be solving math problem and returning the solution much more efficiently than a human being. But the greatest challenges for AI is to make a computer acquire intelligence and do tasks using informal knowledge. This perhaps made AI a revolutionary growing field and made its importance to the peak in solving world problems.

“The true challenge to artificial intelligence proved to be solving the tasks that are easy for people to perform but hard for people to describe formally—problems that we solve intuitively, that feel automatic, like recognizing spoken words or faces in images.”

Let me say this challenge of making computer learn and do complete tasks using informal knowledge is quite hard with just hard coded machines. Don’t you think I am right about this. So AI has so advanced in it’s own nature and wrapping various fields like deep learning , machine learning and representative learning. This diagram should sum up this logic:

The principle: This includes the process of taking big problem and fragmenting it into simpler ones and solving.

I think this should give a very basic skeleton for AI. You might be interested to know DL (Deep learning first and then move on to other). Let me pack few fundamentals about DL in future posts.
