Effect of outside weather in HVAC’s energy consumption.

HVAC systems are used to provide optimal thermal comfort and air quality in indoor facilities. These system uses approx. 70% of the building energy, in that chiller uses approx. 30% energy for producing chilled water for air conditioning.

In current systems, user sets the thermostat and chiller produces chilled water based on that. Let say that outside weather is going to change ±3 °C in few hours. Due to which there is a slightly discomfort to the users as the have to again change the thermostat for maintaining the optimal comfort.

Designing a closed loop system where consideration of outside weather parameters can help in energy saving and maintaining optimal thermal comfort through the day.
