Fusion of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) : The Next Big Thing

“Control Network” which is now know as Internet of Things (IoT), was described by Reza Raji as “moving small packets of data to a large set of nodes, so as to integrate and automate everything from home appliances to entire factories.”
Presently, Internet of Things (IoT) is commonly used to signify advanced connectivity system, devices, and services that go beyond machine-to-machine communications, and covers a variety of domains, protocols and applications.
There will be nearly 20.8 billion devices on the internet of things by 2020, according to Garntner, Inc. (a technology research and advisory corporation), ABI Research estimates that more than 30 billion devices will be wirelessly connected to the internet of things by 2020.
I am of the opinion that there is a cordial relationship between AI and IoT just like the how there is relationship between the human brain and human sense organs.
The human sense organs serve as sensors that receives input such as sight, sound, and touch, and the human brain receives the data from the human sense organs and posses it for the purpose of giving an output such as turning sounds into comprehensive and understandable sounds and turning lights into objects. The human brain then informs the decisions the human body takes such as informing the hand to avoid an hot object.
The Internet of Things consists of all the connected human sense organs like our bodies, by providing data of what’s happening around. The human brain serves as Artificial intelligence, processing that data and informing the decision that should occur. The connected devices of IoT are like the human bodies, carrying out actions physically.
How AI Benefits From IoT
The cardinal virtue of both Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things are being acquired because of the other.
In recent years, Machine Learning and Deep Learning have led to massive hop for Artificial Intelligence. Machine Learning requires large amounts of data to work likewise Deep Learning, and this large amounts of data are collected by a large number of sensors that are perennially online in Internet of Things. Internet of Things (IoT) gives an upper hand to Artifical Intelligence (AI).
