Is It Possible To Build An AI Like JARVIS?

Well, many fans of Iron Man series would have wondered if J.A.R.V.I.S. could become a reality at any time in the future?

For those who don’t know what I am talking about, J.A.R.V.I.S. is a personal artificial intelligence program of Tony Stark aka Iron Man. It helps him to run diagnostics and operations on his Iron Man suit.

J.A.R.V.I.S. has a personality that is obvious from his dialogue delivery, which was smart and sarcastic.

Now, back to your question- Can we utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts to create something like J.A.R.V.I.S.?

Till now the most outstanding A.I. program is I.B.M. Watson.

It first came in 2011 as a participant on Jeopardy against two other best contestants in a special broadcast and won.

Its commercial use started in 2013 for various purposes like planning irrigation for farming, tracking elevator use for maintenance, etc.

Although for hardware section Watson depends on a bunch of ninety I.B.M. Power 750 servers through which it processes approx one million books every second.

Still, Watson could not have won Jeopardy if the information wasn’t already stored in the machine’s RAM. If it had to access it, it would have required a lot of time.

Watson of I.B.M. seems to be in the same direction as J.A.R.V.I.S., but it still has a long way to go.

With expanding quantum computing and faster processing speed, something like J.A.R.V.I.S. can soon become a reality. And who wouldn’t love a sarcastically speaking program!
