I love learning new things and about six weeks ago, I decided to pick up two learning projects: Japanese and Deep Learning.
The latter came as a blessing in the form of a online workshop hosted by Jovian.ML, which I am enjoying very much as it is my first workshop and first experience in Deep Learning itself. For the former, there were ups and downs (learning a foreign language regardless of passion requires a daily dedication and commitment).
But just as the announcement about a final project for the workshop hit my ears, I knew what I had to do, I decided to built a model which can accurately predict the Hiragana letters of the Japanese Kuzushiji handwriting.
Oh BTW, that KISS in the title mean: Keeping It Short & Simple. This is a very straightforward and short blog, which means that I shall spend less time explaining and more on showing the results I was able to accomplish during this time.
So, Let’s get started !!!
