Android software is one of the largest ones used in smartphones. Since the beginning, after the release of Android Alpha( first android version) and Beta (2nd version) android started naming its software versions after dessert names.

For those of you who don’t know, android releases its software versions almost every year and is currently going in alphabetical order with its names. Here is a glimpse of some of the names: Jellybean, Kitkat, Lollipop, Marshmellow, Nougat, Oreo, Pie. You can make out the pattern that every name is a dessert and each begins with the next letter succeeding the previous one.

While all were eagerly waiting to hear the name of the next version that would start with ‘Q’, the team gave a surprise to the audience.
They released the software version last year under the name android q which is now officially named as Android 10.
